FACILITY SERVICES STAFF

YMCA of Pictou County

 

The YMCA of Pictou County, has a mission as a charitable organization to provide leadership to enhance the health and wellbeing of our diverse community.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and care for the Centre in order to ensure the building is maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner.
  • For example, clean offices, wash and disinfect all washrooms, sweep and mop floors.
  • Implement the policies and procedure of the Facility Manager.
  • Provide excellent customer service to people using the Centre.
  • Be aware of programs and services related to the YMCA of Pictou County.  
  • Other duties assigned by Facility Manager.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Knowledge of standards cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment.
  • Knowledge of WHIMS and Health and Safety is an asset.
  • First Aid is an asset.
  • Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and remain result focused.
  • Detailed orientated.
  • Excellent team skills, but self-motivated.
  • Good customer service.
  • Complete task in a timely matter.

This is a physically demanding position. It is part-time and requires you to be available for a variety of shifts - morning, afternoon, evening and on the weekend. Hours and shifts may vary.
